Components of fitness/Fitness Tests

Build on and embed the knowledge, physical development and skills learned in key stages 1 and 2

  • Understand the components of fitness
  • Understand the components of skill related fitness
  • Students can link skills, techniques and ideas
  • Develop components of fitness in a range of different activities
  • Develop skill related fitness components in a range of different activities
  • Working in small teams to develop collaboration
  • Students use components, skills, actions and ideas and apply them with co-ordination and control
  • Perform and carry out fitness tests

Mid Assessment – CORE PE Assessment Framework

Spring   Term    1 & 2

Groups rotate through:

  • Basketball 
  • Football
  • Gymnastics  
  • Table Tennis 
  • Netball
