Remembrance Day

Today during PSHE students have learnt about Remembramce day and observing a two minute silence.
Remembrance Day is a Memorial Day observed since the end of the First World War in 1919 to honour armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.
The Armistice, an agreement to end the fighting of the First World War as a prelude to peace negotiations, began at 11am on 11 November 1918. To this day, Armistice Day is marked around the United Kingdom with a Two Minute Silence at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month. This custom has been observed nationwide for more than a century subsequently to provide a pause for reflection on the supreme patriotic sacrifice of the brave men who never came back.
