Curriculum
Praise and PDFL
At TCA we pride ourselves on our caring nature. We have a strong PDfL system running alongside our Character Programme.
Pupils can gain VIPs in lessons for excellent academic work and excellent attitude to learning. There are also 5 Rs available every lesson for any pupil who fulfils the requirements.
Ready - being ready to learn with correct equipment
Responsible - behaving responsibly in lessons
Respect - showing respect to others in lessons
Reflective - putting into practice what you have learnt
Resilient - persevering and trying hard
We also have a Character Around School System where pupils can collect praise points for doing the right thing and being helpful.
Praise points lead to entries into prize draws and rewards.
Anyone not following our expectiations will have a reminder and a warning that expectations are not being met before a conversation with a senior member of staff and if necessary good neighbouring to another lesson.
Enrichment Activities
We run a wide ranging extra-curriuclar programme. The current plan can be found by clicking here. Activities range from sports clubs to Maths, Science and Cadets.
