Becoming Nancy at The Rep Trip

On Thursday 3^rd October, a small group of pupils set off for a night at the theatre! They had an amazing time at the Birmingham Rep Theatre in the city centre watching the UK premiere of Becoming Nancy!

Our pupils were wowed by the amazing music soundtrack, brilliant acting, fantastic singing and captivating staging. There were many “Wows!” and gasps from us, as well as the whole audience giving a standing ovation at the end. The atmosphere was electric!

Our pupils were mesmerised by the performance (we were on the edge of our seats again and again!), their behaviour was superb, and they represented Tile Cross Academy with pride. Other audience members commented on how well behaved our pupils were, which was lovely to hear.

This amazing opportunity was offered to our academy through our strong connection with the Rep Theatre, as they run a Drama club every week at our school (every Tuesday). If any pupils are interested in joining our Drama club, please speak to Miss Bridgewater.

I hope this is the first of many opportunities offered to us by the Birmingham Rep!
