Tile Cross Academy Finalists ‘School of the Year'

Tile Cross Academy is proud to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists in the ‘School of the Year ‘category in the UK Social Mobility Awards 2021. In 2020 Tile Cross came top in this category and was awarded ’School of the Year 2020’ . We are delighted we have reached the final five schools from across the country again this year and look forward to hearing the results later in the year.

The awards provide an opportunity to recognise organisations who are making strides and creatng initatives to advance social mobility within their own community or beyond their own walls – the shortlisted candidates represents those who have best demonstrated the efficacy of their social mobility initatives. The Schools that have reached the final are:

  • Tile Cross Academy

  • Bolton School

  • Christ’s Hospital

  • Sedgefield Community College

  • Reading School

  • Reigate Grammar School

The winners will be determined by an independent judging panel, made up of leading figures from business, charity and the public sector, and chaired by Sir Ken Olisa OBE. They will be announced at the awards gala on 14th October 2021.
