Small Heath 3 Tile Cross 2

On a cold Thursday evening we travelled to Small Heath for the quarter final of the cup. Tile Cross started well and tested the Small Heath goalkeeper out with some early shots. However, it was Small Heath who took the lead which knocked Tile Cross off their stride and soon after Tile Cross found themselves 3 goals down.

In true Tile Cross style, Tile Cross fought back and the team demonstrated resilience and a determination to get back into the game; every player stood up to be counted and once again Tile Cross started winning individual battles and put pressure on the Small Heath defence. In the second half it was all Tile Cross and had it not been for their goalkeeper's heroics we could have progressed to the next round.

We develop a very special student at Tile Cross; one that stands up to be counted; works tirelessly for the school and team; one that does not give up; one that has respect for their teammates and opposition.

Well done to the students that played their hearts out in this game and to all the students who represent the school with such determination and passion.
